Imagine a lithium battery is like a special box that has lots of tiny energy balls inside. These energy balls help power things like our toys and gadgets. But, we need to be careful with them to stay safe!

Don't Squish It: You know how you don't like it when someone squeezes your favorite stuffed animal too hard? Well, batteries don't like to be squeezed either. If you press them or try to smash them, they can get really hot and maybe even break, and that's not safe.

Keep It Cool: Just like you feel better when you're not too hot, batteries like to stay cool too. So, don't leave them out in the hot sun or near something very hot, like a stove.

No Biting or Licking: Batteries are not for biting or licking. They have special stuff inside that can be harmful if it gets in your mouth. So, we should never put batteries in our mouth.

Ask an Adult: If you ever see a battery that looks funny, like it's swollen or leaking, don't touch it. Tell a grown-up, and they'll know what to do to keep everyone safe.

Put Them Away: When we're not using our toys or gadgets, it's a good idea to take the batteries out and put them in a safe place where little hands can't reach them. That way, we won't accidentally play with them.

Remember, batteries help our toys and gadgets work, but we need to be smart and safe when we use them. Always ask a grown-up for help if you're not sure what to do with a battery. Safety first! 😊
